Building climate-proof rivers together

Within this Work Package, the project partners focus on strengthening the knowledge and skills of stakeholders in North-West Europe. This will enable innovative solutions for sediment management to be developed and applied, with the aim of increasing our region's resilience to the effects of climate change

How do we do this?

• International cooperation: Associated organisations support the dissemination of ClimASed results, including through an International Advisory Committee.
• Community of experts: Working groups and workshops bring together stakeholders from all parts of the river basin – from source to mouth – and tackle cross-border challenges. This creates a network of leading organisations that take the lead in sustainable sediment solutions
• Training and knowledge sharing: We are developing a training programme for university lecturers and young professionals. Lecturers learn how to integrate sediment strategies into their teaching, while young professionals learn how to apply climate-proof sediment solutions in their projects.
